Gunnel and Per-Gunnar Engström are newly retired and live in Vallåkra in the Helsingborg municipality, in a house they built themselves 40 years ago. Right from the start, they installed a heat pump. Back then, they chose a Thermia AGA, which was at the time the best heat pump available.

When it was finally time to replace the old servant, there was no doubt which brand to choose. In consultation with Thermia’s reseller in Ängelholm, they chose Calibra Eco, the very latest inverterdriven ground source heat pump. One of the reasons behind their decision was its ability to adapt to the energy available in the ground collector buried in Gunnel’s and Per-Gunnar’s pretty garden.

Yes, it is warm and pleasant throughout the house and we’re getting hot water faster now. I’ve been down tapping on the glass to see that it’s really in operation.

The Engströms know the precise length of their ground collector, but with a Calibra you don’t need to know. Because the heat pump can sense how much energy is available, it harnesses the full potential of geothermal heat, without any risk of overload.

The entire replacement process was carried out quickly and smoothly in just one day. The old heat pump was dismantled in the morning and replaced with the new one. By the afternoon, everything was up and running. Gunnel and Per-Gunnar had even received a report to confirm that their new heat pump was operating perfectly. So far, they are very happy with the installation.
