Thermia Mega - a truly commercial heat pump

Disintegrating sewage pipes came as an unexpected surprise to the board of the newly formed tenant-owned association at Koppartältet. This caused the board to review and renew all aspects of their utilities, including the introduction of smart speed-controlled Thermia MEGA heat pumps. This renewable energy solution has made a big difference.

The tenant-owned housing association installed four Thermia Mega XL ground source heat pumps to complement the existing facility.

Thanks to the high performing smart inverter-controlled heat pumps, running costs have been significantly reduced versus the old system.

During the first five months, district heating consumption fell by 80 percent. What’s more, it was possible to finance the sewage pipe renovation within the framework of the project.
